Many of Us ton’s teammates, however, and especially AI Francesco-the man who had invented the team concept and taught Uston how to play-felt betrayed. AI had been using his BP teams since 1971, racking up huge wins at all of the major casinos in Las Vegas and Reno, without any inkling of suspicion within the casino industry of what he had been doing. And for three and a half years, Al had been doing this with a twenty-one-man team that included three BPs and eighteen spotters. By playing in three different casinos, and continually rotating spotters and BPs in and out of all of them, Al felt that the casinos would never be able to make the play by putting together his spotters with his BPs. Al Francesco felt certain that the only way his BP strategy could ever be discovered would be by someone on his team spilling the beans. And he had two team policies that he required all team members to adhere to: complete honesty and absolute secrecy .

Try to avoid increasing your bet after a loss, even if the count continues to rise. This applies more so towards the top of your betting scale. At the lower end, a slight increase can be gotten away with if it isn’t too blatant in games. Think about it: There aren’t too many people around who do this about online casino blackjack, other than players using some type of progression, or method that involves increasing your bet after a loss. And it’s quickly obvious to any boss or to surveillance that you’re not one of those. So what else can you be?

Bet more than one unit off the top a fair percentage of the time. Don’t do it every time, so if studied, it doesn’t appear like a mechanical foil. Do it a fair percentage of the time, and vary between two and three units so that surveillance sees more than a minimum wager following the shuffle. A lot depends on the form of slot machine. The negative expectation of these wagers will cost you a few dollars over the course of a year. But it’s money well spent if it ends up buying you a few more maximum bets somewhere along the way.

This would be dropping to a very low wager or even the table minimum during a high positive count - for perhaps a hand or two. When you’re doing this, you’re obviously giving up expectation and you should have a set of blackjack rules to understand this game. But it can throw some bosses for a loop, or at least leave them scratching their heads. Most of them know that the true count can’t fluctuate that wildly after only a few cards have been dealt. The only problem with this ploy is that it’s tough to gauge its success in the middle of doing it. Let’s face it, the game is hard enough as it is. It takes a rigid soul to wade through the muck, hit a high positive true count, and then pass up on even one chance to put it out there. Not to mention those times when the dealer puts an асе-jack down on the table in front of you and your minimum bet. This ploy will definitely establish you as a volatile bettor, but get ready for some heartache. Again, though, call it the price of doing business if in the end it gets you a game of blackjack you would otherwise not have had.

Betting and playing camouflage relates to ways an advantage player can mislead bosses into thinking you’re not the advantage player you really are, by what you bet and how you play blackjack tournaments. This is accomplished by betting and playing in a way that isn’t consistent with known card counting methods, at least at opportune moments or for short periods of time. Some ploys sacrifice expectation, but as long as too much isn’t lost, a good misleading bet or play at just the right moment might be chalked up to the price of doing business at the world’s blackjack tables. As you gain experience, it will become more and more about online casino blackjack obvious when to use a certain ploy or which one works best with your overall act. The trick here, of course, is not to sacrifice too much expectation. Remember that every bet you make at true counts below +1 brings with it a negative expectation.
