Betting: Low-Balling

This would be dropping to a very low wager or even the table minimum during a high positive count - for perhaps a hand or two. When you’re doing this, you’re obviously giving up expectation and you should have a set of blackjack rules to understand this game. But it can throw some bosses for a loop, or at least leave them scratching their heads. Most of them know that the true count can’t fluctuate that wildly after only a few cards have been dealt. The only problem with this ploy is that it’s tough to gauge its success in the middle of doing it. Let’s face it, the game is hard enough as it is. It takes a rigid soul to wade through the muck, hit a high positive true count, and then pass up on even one chance to put it out there. Not to mention those times when the dealer puts an асе-jack down on the table in front of you and your minimum bet. This ploy will definitely establish you as a volatile bettor, but get ready for some heartache. Again, though, call it the price of doing business if in the end it gets you a game of blackjack you would otherwise not have had.
